Prexus, the Oceanlord
Kedge Keep was the most miserable underwater dungeon in the game. The kedge were the Oceanlord’s answer to the dragons.

The first pact and the kedge
Prexus was one of the gods at Brell’s first meeting. In the abysmal depths of the oceans he left his children, the kedge, hardy water-dwellers with great mental power and stamina, to keep a watchful eye on dragonkind.

The faith of the deep
His followers believe true power lies in the ocean depths, that life first formed there, and that one day the seas will rise to swallow the unworthy and embrace the faithful. Many sailors and fishermen follow him, and they defend the seas against anyone who would harm them.

When Prexus left
An EverQuest II book by an anonymous Yha-lei priest remembers the day Prexus left his people. Without him the waves battered their city apart and the Yha-lei began killing one another. Then their ancestors found the resting place of a new god, and the water grew clear and bright. The priest calls it “The Coming of the True Creator.”

Where the sources disagree
- The Yha-lei account comes from EverQuest II, after the gods withdrew from Norrath; it is not part of classic EverQuest’s timeline.
