EverQuest Today (2026)

Three adventurers on a cliff overlooking a fantasy world at dusk

More than 27 years after launch, EverQuest is still live, still developed by Darkpaw Games and published by Daybreak, and still getting a new expansion every year.

Live servers

The live servers run the full game through the latest expansion, Shattering of Ro (December 2, 2025), which raised the level cap to 130. The game is free to play, and an optional All Access membership unlocks more, including the progression servers.

Time Locked Progression servers

A progression server launches with only part of the game, usually just the original zones, and unlocks expansions over time so players can relive each era in order. Two launched in 2026:

Both servers require All Access membership.
