Born of Norrath

Her followers believe Norrath itself is a living being that gave birth to Tunare, and that all life came from her. Worshipping and protecting the land is homage to the Mother of their Mother. They will fight to the death to protect nature. Many druids and rangers, and a great many elves, follow her.

The elves and their losses

Tunare was one of the gods of Brell’s first pact, and she made the elves to watch over the surface of the world. Her children built the Elddar Forest and Takish-Hiz, then lost their first king and queen to Innoruuk, and finally lost the forest itself to Solusek Ro’s sun. The whole story is on The Elddar and Takish-Hiz.

A conversation in the Wakening Lands

An official Echoes of Faydwer story tells of Tunare walking out of the mist in an emerald gown, flowers springing up where she stepped, to visit the dragon Wuoshi in his stone ring in the Wakening Lands. He was sent there in Veeshan’s service, but she thanks him for guarding her forest too. He answers that he cares little for the politics of the Claws or the Ring; the forest is his home.

Equestrielle

Unicorns are Tunare’s favored creatures and guard her purest forests. Because they stand for purity, the dark gods love to ruin them. The RPG records that Cazic-Thule himself took the horn from the famous unicorn Equestrielle and corrupted her, and that she now roams the forests of Faydark.
